"His love of music is only surpassed by his love of playing music to an appreciative audience, which I have witnessed firsthand. His ability to create sonic landscapes matches up to the highest standards, consistent with premiership DJ level."
- Ryan Maunder [Perfecto]
I lived in a recording studio as a kid which meant that I was experimenting with production equipment from a very early age. My passion for dance music was instant after listening to tapes from Verbeer Manor where Tony Devit(RIP) was resident and becoming established, I took a lot of inspiration from him and how good his tapes were, people really liked his mixing. Other extremely influential DJs that I folowed closely were Sasha, Oakenfold & Digweed.
My first break as a DJ came in 1999 when I landed a regular slot at the Dance Academy in Plymouth by winning residency through the Eye-Con "Find a Dj Competition". When my residency ended at the Dance Academy I was totally hooked on playing to big audiences I joined The Big Hammer Crew and continued to mix for them in all the clubs they were promoting for several years.
In 2006 I was selected (out of 5000 applicants) for residency at The Blue Cube. The Blue Cube was a TV program to be filmed in a functioning club over 15 weeks as a real-life documentary aptly named "Cube" which was scheduled to be on Channel 4 early in January '07. Unfortunately Channel 4 never screened the show as the company producing it went bust, it was a big disappointment for me.
In 2008 I became a regular on the Promiscuous podcasts (owned by Dj Ashley H) which has been extremely successfull, you can subscribe to this free podcast here. The Pit Club in Honiton has also been a favorite place for me since Leon B took over, the place is buzzing and long may it live! It's been a real treat playing alongside Brandon Block, Hed Kandi, Sound Selecktaz & Bullet etc.
